Justin Knight is Senior Counsel with Hunt Ortmann Nieves Darling Mah Klein & Lozano, Inc. Mr. Knightâs practice focuses on construction disputes and litigation, construction defect matters, contract disputes, business and commercial litigation, real estate disputes, insurance-related matters, and employment litigation. He represents contractors, developers, design professionals, owners, subcontractors, trade partners, and other business entities in state and federal courts, with experience handling complex multiparty disputes, written and expert discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement strategy.
Before joining Hunt Ortmann, Mr. Knight served as Associate General Counsel to a California-based PropTech/ConTech company operating as a vertically and horizontally integrated residential design, manufacturing, site acquisition, land development, construction, and home-sales platform.
Mr. Knight previously practiced with national and regional litigation firms, where he represented architects, engineers, developers, contractors, common carriers, commercial property owners, homeowner associations in complex construction litigation. His experience includes defending professional liability, complex construction disputes, construction defect matters, and contract disputes.
Mr. Knight brings a client-focused partial approach to litigation combining case strategy, risk assessment, and practical business judgment to help clients resolve their disputes.
Mr. Knight earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, formerly UC Hastings, where he served as Articles Editor for the Hastings Business Law Journal. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
