Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Darling & Mah, Inc. welcomed several new attorneys to the firm in 2025. This week, the attorney spotlight is Associate, Terence L. Finley, Jr. (“TJ”). TJ’s practice is heavily concentrated in construction disputes and litigation, where he represents a diverse clientele, including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, owners, and sureties. His construction practice spans complex commercial and public works projects, as well as residential matters, including representing individual homeowners in home remediation and construction defect disputes.
In addition to construction litigation, TJ has a strong background in complex civil litigation and dispute resolution. His experience includes handling sophisticated contractual and commercial disputes, securities-related matters, and cases involving the entertainment and media industries. He has also represented clients in high-stakes investigations and disputes involving insurance coverage, trusts, and other intricate financial and business issues.
TJ has managed cases in both Federal and State Courts, serving as lead counsel in multiple trials, mediations, and arbitrations. He is known for developing and executing strategic litigation approaches tailored to each client’s objectives, with an emphasis on efficiency, precision, and favorable outcomes. His courtroom experience and leadership have contributed to successful resolutions across a wide range of complex matters.
TJ earned his Juris Doctor from Duke University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
