Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Darling & Mah, Inc. welcomed several new attorneys to the firm in 2025. This week, the attorney spotlight is Senior Counsel, David J. Sire, Jr. David’s practice is heavily concentrated in construction disputes and litigation, where he represents a diverse clientele including general contractors, subcontractors, developers, owners, and sureties.
Beyond litigation, David handles the drafting, negotiation, and review of construction agreements and related contracts and documents, particularly for public works projects with complex general conditions. He also provides counsel on competitive bidding disputes, design-build projects, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements involving the DLSE (Labor Commissioner’s Office) and DFEH.
David has extensive experience in alternative dispute resolution and courtroom advocacy, having attended hundreds of mediations and participated in dozens of arbitrations and trials. David’s record includes a successful federal jury trial and obtaining multi-million dollar settlements. His top priority is understanding and then meeting or exceeding client goals, in the most time and cost effective manner possible.
David attended Loyola Law School where he received mediation certification, a Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School, and a B.B.S. in Business and Economics from the University of San Diego.
