| Hunt Ortmann Shareholder JoLynn Scharrer will serve as a Settlement Officer in the new Los Angeles Superior Court (LASC) pilot program to facilitate resolution of employment cases in partnership with local bar associations.
In connection with the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section and other organizations, Resolve Law Los Angeles (RLLA) has been expanded to include an early resolution program for employment cases in the LASC. RLLA’s Early Resolution Employment Case Mandatory Settlement Program (MSC) offers a free 3-hour MSC in recently filed employment cases staffed by one Plaintiff Settlement Officer and one Defense Settlement Officer, and will be initially offered through five LASC courtrooms at LASC’s Stanley Mosk Courthouse under the supervision of Judge Zaven Sinanian, Managing Judge of the MSC Unit at LASC’s Spring Street Courthouse.
