Hunt Ortmann Nieves Darling Mah Klein & Lozano, Inc. is pleased to announce that two new attorneys recently joined the Firm. Associate, Jessica Y. Shyong and Senior Counsel, Justin D. Knight.
Jessica Shyong represents employers in litigation arising under the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) and the Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Ms. Shyong has represented clients in a wide variety of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour litigation. Her experience spans all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution, and strategic case management in employment-related disputes.
Ms. Shyong received her J.D. from the University of California, Davis School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. She is admitted to practice in California and Washington, D.C.
Justin Knight specializes in construction disputes and litigation, construction defect matters, contract disputes, business and commercial litigation, real estate disputes, insurance-related matters, and employment litigation. Mr. Knight represents developers, contractors, subcontractors, design professionals, owners, trade partners, and other business entities in both state and federal courts. Mr. Knight is experienced in all phases of litigation, including complex multiparty disputes.
Before joining Hunt Ortmann, Mr. Knight served as Associate General Counsel to a California-based PropTech/ConTech company. He has also practiced at national and regional litigation firms, where he represented clients in complex construction litigation and defending clients against professional liability and construction defect claims.
Mr. Knight earned his J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco, formerly UC Hastings. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
