    Labor & Employment

    Discrimination / Harassment / Retaliation

California's labor laws are designed to prevent and address discrimination, harassment, and retaliation to ensure a fair and inclusive work environment. Our Employment Law Group understands the importance of a proactive and strategic defense to protect your company's reputation while ensuring compliance with the law.

Our experienced attorneys possess a deep understanding of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation laws. We work closely with our clients to craft tailored strategies that align with their business goals, ensuring a comprehensive defense that minimizes potential risks.

Our Employment Law Group also advocates for justice in cases of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in California workplaces. We represent employees who have suffered unlawful and unjust working conditions and provide compassionate support and unwavering advocacy.

California's robust legal framework offers protections against workplace discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, but the journey to justice can be complex. At Hunt Ortmann, we are committed to standing by individuals who have faced adversity, giving them a voice and empowering them to hold employers accountable for their actions.

Our Employment Law Group utilizes their deep understanding of state and federal laws to navigate sensitive cases with empathy and determination. Whether it's addressing gender, age, race, religion, or other forms of discrimination, combating workplace harassment, or seeking justice for those who have suffered retaliation, we champion the rights of employees and strive for efficient and fair resolutions.

Hunt Ortmann’s Employment Law Group offers training to keep employers compliant with California harassment, discrimination, and retaliation laws. California law requires employers with 5 or more employees to provide two hours of interactive sexual harassment prevention training (including instruction on preventing harassment, discrimination, and retaliation) every two years for all employees. Supervisors and Managers must complete two hours of training and all other employees must complete one hour. We provide certification of completion and compliance.

Please contact our employment attorneys at employment@huntortmann.com if you would like to schedule a harassment, discrimination, and retaliation prevention training, or to learn more about updating your company’s sexual harassment prevention policy.
