Seven Hunt Ortmann Attorneys Make Super Lawyers® in 2015

Hunt Ortmann is proud to announce that seven attorneys were honored and listed as 2015 California Super Lawyers® in the Construction Litigation category. These attorneys were published and listed in the January release of Southern California Super Lawyers® Magazine.

Hunt Ortmann attorneys Gordon Hunt, Dale Ortmann, Thomas Palffy, Omel Nieves, John Darling and Richard Mah have been selected as Super Lawyers® for the past 6 years. Wahid Guirguis was selected as a Super Lawyer® for the first time in 2015.

Super Lawyers® rates lawyers who have attained a high-degree of professional achievement. Attorneys are selected based on a multiphase rating process that includes peer nominations, evaluations and third party research. The highly regarded compilation of the region’s elite attorneys is announced annually and is limited to the top five percent of all lawyers practicing in Southern California. No other firm in Southern California has more attorneys selected in this category.

Hunt Ortmann is pleased to accept this award as it commemorates and acknowledges the commitment to continue to be a foremost authority on California Construction Law.

Super Lawyers® is a division of Thomson Reuters, a worldwide communications, publishing and news organization.

    Selection Process

Super Lawyers® selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase process in which peer nominations and evaluations are combined with our independent research:

    • Nominations

Each year, we invite lawyers to nominate the top attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. Our attorney-led research staff also searches for lawyers who have attained certain honors or results.

    • Evaluation of the Candidate Pool

Our researchers evaluate candidates by 12 indicators of peer recognition and individual achievement.

    • Peer Evaluation by Practice Area

Candidates are grouped according to their primary practice areas. Candidates in each practice area who received the highest point totals in the steps above are asked to serve on a review panel.

    • Final Selection

Candidates are grouped into categories based on firm size. The attorneys with the highest totals from each category are selected. Thus, lawyers are grouped with other lawyers of comparable firm size.
