2013 Super Lawyers Announced! Hunt Ortmann Holds Ground

Nick Santoro

Six Shareholders of construction litigation firm Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Darling & Mah, Inc., have been selected to the prestigious 2013 Southern California “Super Lawyers” list.

The highly regarded compilation of the region’s elite attorneys is announced annually and is limited to the top five percent of all lawyers practicing in Southern California. No other firm in Southern California has more attorneys selected in these categories.

Hunt Ortmann attorneys Gordon Hunt, Dale Ortmann, Thomas Palffy, Omel Nieves, John Darling and Richard Mah have been selected as Super Lawyers in 2013. This marks the 6th straight year that the principles at Hunt Ortmann have been selected for inclusion as Super Lawyers.

Hunt Ortmann is pleased to accept this award as it commemorates and acknowledges the commitment to continue to be a foremost authority on California Construction Law.

Super Lawyers is a division of Thomson Reuters, a worldwide communications, publishing and news organization.

Selection Process

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase process in which peer nominations and evaluations are combined with our independent research:

  • Nominations

Each year, we invite lawyers to nominate the top attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. Our attorney-led research staff also searches for lawyers who have attained certain honors or results.

  • Evaluation of the Candidate Pool

Our researchers evaluate candidates by 12 indicators of peer recognition and individual achievement.

  • Peer Evaluation by Practice Area

Candidates are grouped according to their primary practice areas. Candidates in each practice area who received the highest point totals in the steps above are asked to serve on a review panel.

  • Final Selection

Candidates are grouped into categories based on firm size. The attorneys with the highest totals from each category are selected. Thus, lawyers are grouped with other lawyers of comparable firm size.

Client Review
