EXPERIENCE
Victoria Ianni Garcia is an associate with Hunt Ortmann Palffy Nieves Darling & Mah, Inc. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Garcia was a successful trial attorney handling cases in state and federal court involving all types of general business litigation matters. She has successfully obtained judgments for large multinational corporations on breach of contract and false advertising claims and has also obtained favorable settlements for her clients when that was in their best interest. Since joining Hunt Ortmann, Ms. Garcia has represented clients from all areas of the construction industry including owners, contractors, developers and subcontractors. The issues have ranged from delay and disruption claims, latent and patent construction defects, negligence and liens to contract disputes and unfair business practices claims. Ms. Garcia also represents clients in labor and employment claims involving wage and hour litigation, discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Ms. Garcia focuses on successfully resolving matters through various avenues of dispute resolution including negotiation, arbitration, mediation and trial.
Ms. Garcia obtained an undergraduate degree, with honors, from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), a Master’s degree from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a Juris Doctorate from Stanford Law School where she also received pro-bono distinction.
Ms. Garcia is admitted to practice in the state of California and before the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
