Hunt Ortmann is pleased to welcome three new attorneys to the firm.
Peter E. Schnaitman, Patricia J. Wolfe, and Emil B. Rogstad.
PETER E. SCHNAITMAN
Peter E. Schnaitman joined Hunt Ortmann on October 25, 2021. Before joining Hunt Ortmann, Mr. Schnaitman practiced with various firms and had his own practice as well. For many years, Mr. Schnaitman served as primary counsel for a manufacturing company. In that capacity, Mr. Schnaitman litigated a variety of matters, directing and overseeing the work of various local counsel, and also provided core legal support counseling to the company on contracting, bidding, employment, intellectual property, technology, supply-chain issues, pre-suit claim handling, insurance and matters involving federal and state regulatory compliance.
Mr. Schnaitman has represented universities, public entities, telecommunications firms, drug companies, religious organizations, automotive companies, hospitals, chemical companies, product manufacturers and various Fortune 500 companies in a wide-variety of legal matters. Mr. Schnaitman has extensive experience structuring and drafting commercial agreements and other contractual arrangements. Mr. Schnaitman’s experience has provided him with the ability to quickly and effectively analyze legal issues and prepare a course of effective and efficient resolution. His representative matters have involved litigation in forums throughout the country, and have included multi-district litigations and coordinated and class proceedings through trial, verdict and appeal.
Mr. Schnaitman is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts of California and Ohio.
PATRICIA J. WOLFE
Patricia J. Wolfe will be joining the firm on November 15, 2021 and comes to Hunt Ortmann following her tenure at a California firm with a local Pasadena office. Ms. Wolfe also worked at a boutique litigation firm in the Sacramento area where she represented clients in business litigation matters. Originally from the East Coast, subsequent to law school and before relocating to California, Ms. Wolfe worked at a variety of Wall Street financial firms where she drafted and negotiated complex financial documentation.
Ms. Wolfe is a member of the Sacramento County Bar Association and the Placer County Bar Association. Ms. Wolfe has been a member of the California bar since 2016. Her practice focuses mainly on general civil litigation.
EMIL B. ROGSTAD
Emil B. Rogstad will be transitioning to an associate attorney after spending the last two years with the firm as a litigation paralegal. Mr. Rogstad previously worked as a construction litigation paralegal in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. He has reviewed, analyzed, and organized millions of documents for dozens of trials involving complex construction projects in both federal and state court. He was the lead paralegal on a multi-million dollar claim before the Armed Services Board of Contract Appeals while also completing his law degree in a program designed for working professionals.
Mr. Rogstad has experience solving issues related to civil discovery, preparing evidence for witness examinations and trial presentation, and has worked for owners, contractors, and insurance companies. Recently, he was the lead paralegal for Hunt Ortmann during a victorious jury trial pursuing a general contractor’s claims for the defective work of a subcontractor on a public works project in California.
Mr. Rogstad is a member of the California Bar, and his practice focuses on construction litigation.
