Hunt Ortmann Continues To Dominate Construction Category For Third Straight Year!

For the third consecutive year, Hunt Ortmann dominates the Southern California Construction Litigation / Construction Surety Categories in this 2012 Super Lawyers selection. No other firm in Southern California has more attorneys selected in these categories. Hunt Ortmann attorneys Gordon Hunt, Dale Ortmann, Thomas Palffy, Omel Nieves, Laurence Lubka, John Darling and Richard Mah have been selected as Super Lawyers in 2012. Published annually, only 5% of lawyers in the state are selected. This marks the 5th straight year that the principles at Hunt Ortmann have been selected for inclusion as Super Lawyers.

In addition, we would like to welcome the newest member of the Hunt Ortmann Super Lawyer team, Wahid Guirguis, who was named a Super Lawyer’s Rising Star in 2012.

We are pleased to accept this award as it commemorates and acknowledges our commitment to continue to be a foremost authority on California Construction Law.

To learn more about the selection process, continue reading below.

    SELECTION PROCESS

Super Lawyers selects attorneys using a rigorous, multiphase process in which peer nominations and evaluations are combined with our independent research:

    • Nominations
Each year, we invite lawyers to nominate the top attorneys they’ve personally observed in action. Our attorney-led research staff also searches for lawyers who have attained certain honors or results.
    • Evaluation of the Candidate Pool
Our researchers evaluate candidates by 12 indicators of peer recognition and individual achievement.
    • Peer Evaluation by Practice Area
Candidates are grouped according to their primary practice areas. Candidates in each practice area who received the highest point totals in the steps above are asked to serve on a review panel.
    • Final Selection
Candidates are grouped into categories based on firm size. The attorneys with the highest totals from each category are selected. Thus, lawyers are grouped with other lawyers of comparable firm size.
