Kathlynn E. Smith was recently quoted in the Law360 article, “Calif. Housing Industry Watching Gov.’s $750M Incentive Plan.”
The article discusses concern’s attorneys have with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed $750M incentive plan to help the current housing crisis.
Commenting on the skilled labor concern, Ms. Smith stated, “When you are looking at the possibility of projects at the size and scale that this new push for affordable housing would create, you really do have to consider who is going to be able to fill those spots in order to achieve those goals. The contractors who right now are able to recruit and maintain skilled workers are really the ones who stand to benefit the most from any of these projects.”
